When the reservoir was being built, it was specially planned so as not to flood this historical place with monuments to the heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812 and the military historical museum.
Inspect the monuments at the command posts of M.I. Kutuzov and Napoleon, and the earthen artillery fortifications preserved from the Patriotic War of 1812, and the trenches and anti-tank ditches of the Mozhaisk line of defense, left over from the Great Patriotic War of the forties.
Visit the museum with battle paintings and portraits of Russian military leaders, a collection of military costumes, banners, standards and personal belongings of Alexander I and Mikhail Kutuzov. Here, the story comes alive before our eyes, acquires faces and names.
